Reconciliation Action Plan

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

On 22 December 2021, our school launched our first Mawson Lakes School Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This formal statement recognises our commitment to reconciliation, that is guided by three key themes of Relationships, Respect and Opportunities.

By making this commitment, we aim to create a place of teaching and learning that is culturally inclusive, where aspirations are fostered, diversity is acknowledged and genuine conversations about closing the gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are ongoing.

We continue to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives reflected through our updated RAP as presented here.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We acknowledge that this Country always has and always will be the Kaurna People’s home.

We thank and show respect to the Aboriginal People, as we now live and learn on this beautiful land.

We acknowledge that we must learn from the past and look to the future, walking together on this country.
