Principal

Welcome from our Principal

Mrs Tammy Lambden, School Principal

Welcome to Mawson Lakes School!

I am delighted to extend a warm and friendly welcome to our school community. At Mawson Lakes School, our vision is to empower compassionate, diverse learners to positively impact the world. We are guided by our core values: we are courageous, we are curious, and we are kind.

Our large campus, encompassing a local creek, connects us to nature and land, and provides a relaxed environment for learning. We are proud to be part of a connected community, collaborating with Mawson Lakes Preschool and the University of South Australia.

Our school offers a range of specialist programs, including The Arts, Japanese, Physical Education and Science. We are fortunate to have a dedicated Defence School Mentor and a committed English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) team, supporting our diverse community. Our First Language Maintenance Program in Urdu and Punjabi, along with our Instrumental Music offerings, enriches our students’ educational experiences. Our Wellbeing Leader facilitates further opportunities with Kids Council, Eco Warriors and leading the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

We value feedback from our community and the contributions of our Governing Council, fostering a culture of collaboration and collective responsibility. Our commitment to learner agency and curiosity is reflective of the Strategy for Public Education. We ensure that every student is supported, socially, academically and emotionally, including students with disabilities, additional needs, or require stretch and challenge.

We are proud of our growth and remain dedicated to supporting all learners. Thank you for being a part of our journey at Mawson Lakes School. Together, we will make a difference.

Warm regards
Tammy
